This course, taken during my final semester at UMass, titled Writing, Identity, and English Studies, is an English course that falls under the Integrative Experience general education requirement. The IE requires students to take a class within their major during the senior year that encourages the integration of their work within their major, minors, certificates, electives, extracurriculars, and any other aspects of their college experience. The course also encourages us to think about what comes after graduation.

As part of this specific course, throughout the semester, we wrote five personal essays that follow the topics of SELF, MAJOR, COLLEGE, COMMUNITY, and LIFE.
